Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (a bit over 100) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here and it will still go up this week.

The submissions post for next week is linked below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: 00 pages, 000 secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.

Thank you. If there's one of two things that annoy me about this show, it's the NEED to mock Sheldon for not wanting sex and to make Amy suddenly sex-starved. THAT is kind of bullshit. (The other thing is Raj's selective mutism. Dude, you're around women every day and you've had a few in your circle of friends for years. Get over it. This, I'll admit, is getting offensive by now. What are we, fucking aliens?)

It takes me a very, very long time to be able to trust people enough to talk to them, so I could understand if Raj's problem continued, but if they wanted to keep the joke so much, it would make more sense if they stretched it logically so that in the beginning of season three (or however long presumably a year or year and a half would "be") he could talk, but only to her.

It looks more like a "boy nerd fears girls" trope than a "females are alien" trope, but given the rest of the sketchy implications on the show, I definitely see where your offense comes from. They probably made it a "part" of the character and don't know how to stop.

I hope this doesn't invoke the wrath of the masses, but my theory is that a lot of people writing TV shows these days are simply products of their time, back when Jock, Cheerleader, Geek was a "thing" with a set look, behavior, and place in the "pecking order". When the annoying "ha ha geeks" thing gets overwhelming, it's all I can do to force myself to remember they don't know what they're doing; they don't know any better..." I want to go to these people and say, not aggressively, "It's not like that anymore. There's no more "cool table where the cool kids sit", and it's understood that being smart and enjoying studies is a blessing (especially with this job market). And speaking of these supposed "cool kids" in your mind, how exactly did they get so popular if they're mean and snobby and only a few people "get in" to their group?
