What really bugs me is the fic where as soon as shit starts getting sexy, they stop sounding and behaving like the characters I'm trying to read about and are suddenly getting all of their dialogue and behaviour patterns from Slash Sex Template #4, series B. I mean, this kills the hotness for most pairings, but it's especially noticeable when it's a character like Stiles, who has such fantastically idiosyncratic and individualised body language and speech patterns, or one like Derek, where you really are gonna have to build a reasonable degree of support for his sudden switch to Daddy Cool from what we're used to, which is a guy who clearly got the wire mommy.
