I had this with Topless Robot. See, I don't WANT all this nerd news way in advance. It ruins things for me really badly with overexposure and lack of surprises and drastically decreases my enjoyment of things. But I kept going back anyway. I eventually jerked myself out of the rut and told myself that I would be happier without it, no matter how strong the lure of certain features was. And after experiencing what it was like to go into a superhero movie fresh and unsaturated and completely without being overloaded with news and having nothing about it that wasn't in the trailers spoiled for me, I realized how bad the site was for me and how much happier I was without it, and came out with a stronger love of nerd-dom as a result.

And if you're wondering, no, I did not notice the abusive relationship metaphor in this comment until the very last sentence. *headdesk* Oh well, I have no idea how else to word it.
