Ego-crushing moment

I have a lot of followers who say they're big fans of my writing. So recently I made a post, offering to fill prompts/requests for fics...and not one person asked for anything, not even my best friend.

I've been losing interest in my favorite fandom recently, and hoped this would spur a revival. Instead, I feel like I'm one step closer to leaving it now, and that's sad.

Maybe they were embarrassed to ask? I never ask my friends unless it's anon because I have weird hang-ups about that sort of thing.

I'm sorry you're falling out of your fandom though :(

LJ is less active, too. It could be that very few people have seen your post.

A friend of mine earned some prompt requests by posting a fic to FF.net and mentioning she was taking requests in her profile. Perhaps you could try something similar?

Three days late, sorry, but I wanted to say I share your disappointment. I've been in your shoes, and it sucks. I considered real hard flouncing, taking my toys and going home, haven't decided to do so yet but the idea's still here.
