When I find out that someone thinks like this I automatically lose respect for them. The fact that already several people are agreeing makes me snort derisively and roll my eyes. Remus/Tonks may have been sudden and mainly off-page, but there was never EVER any evidence of him and Sirius being gay. Get the fuck over it.

Why exactly would there be evidence? There wasn't a single gay character in the series and Rowling threw a bitchfit over fanfiction that created gay pairings.

Sirius and Remus had a hell of a lot more in common than Tonks and Remus did. They only seemed to bond through their grief over Sirius!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a rabid slash fangirl and I really liked Tonks as a character (though I thought she had unused potential). But "LOL NO EVIDENCE" is not acceptable reasoning.

Although I do love that she had to clarify nothing was between them when she wrote, "...hugged like brothers."

Sirius/Remus is an angsty pair, but I didn't like Tonks much, myself, so I'd rather read S/L over Remus/Tonks anyday.
