Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally misclicked and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (about 100 or so) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.

The submissions post for next week is below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: ?? pages, ??? secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.
Secrets Not Posted: [ 0 - broken links ], [ 0 - not!secrets ], [ 0 - not!fandom ], [ 0 - too big ], [ 0 - repeat ].
Current Secret Submissions Post: here.
Suggestions, comments, and concerns should go here.

lol @ the idea that Marvel comics writers or editorial is going to ever make a social statement that isn't horribly fucking offensive while being totally clueless about how the fans will react.

They just want to make a half-assed attempt to cash in on the fact that The Avengers are the darlings of Marvel properties right now, and they think that obviously the best way to lick the metaphorical balls and clits of everyone checking out comics after getting hooked by the film is to have the Avengers humiliate and beat the shit out of another superteam in a id-fueled self-aggrandization fantasy masquerading as a moralistic story to show that they're the coolest kids in the class, instead of having them be badass, likable, villain-stomping heroes that readers will like on their own merits.

Wow, you obviously have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Maybe if you had actually read a panel or two of the event you wouldn't sound quite so ignorant.

I'm talking about the concept of the event, not what actually happens to the characters from an in-universe perspective. They want the Avengers to be right because the Avengers is what's in right now, to answer the OP's question. I'm not commenting on the logistics of the plot they came up with to justify it.

DA

Still not really accurate at all. For one, the plot has been set up for a long time now, what with Scott's descent into WTFness which has stretched over years, the plot device that is Hope having been born many years ago as well, and ditto Avengers Disassembled/Mutant Decimation.

No, you're talking about your delusions
