(Anonymous) 2012-09-04 12:34 am (UTC)(link)I dunno how to describe it, it's very sweet and can be used in lots of things, from eating by the spoonful from the jar to filling cakes, and other dessert things. And of course, in alfajores!
I wonder if in other places is sometimes replaced by caramel? Because for example it's used a lot as a cake filler and I see pictures of those and they look like the ones with Dulce de Leche, that always confuses me xD

(Anonymous) 2012-09-04 01:12 am (UTC)(link)And I'm pretty sure it's replaced by caramel sometimes. When I see Dulce de Leche, I'm always reminded of the slightly salty caramel I'm used to and I get hungry just thinking about it.
