Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally misclicked and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (about 100 or so) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.

The submissions post for next week is below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: ?? pages, ??? secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.
Secrets Not Posted: [ 0 - broken links ], [ 0 - not!secrets ], [ 0 - not!fandom ], [ 0 - too big ], [ 0 - repeat ].
Current Secret Submissions Post: here.
Suggestions, comments, and concerns should go here.

Literally all of these can be answered with, "because reasons." But I will try.

1) Probably because they notice that people aren't reblogging, or liking, directly from the source (eg: a reblog of a reblog of a reblog of a....), but rather a more popular person who happened to reblog them. A bnf, or an fyeah blog or whatever reblogs them, and suddenly the likes take a huge hike. There's a lot of people feeling ridiculously stigmatized because they feel they're not getting enough credit despite credit not actually being removed.

2) Mix of inability to take flattery, trying to be humble, and actual confusion as to why this person followed them. Every now and then I'll get a follower out of the blue, but I'll have no idea what the fuck kind of content they followed me for. (granted, I don't complain or post about it, but I honestly do wonder if they haven't liked any specific posts. sometimes I'll understand if they're in my fandoms or something.)

3) Because stupid. Er, I mean, quirkiness. It's just the thing tumblr fen does, because the person thinks they're being cute, and being indirect is cool, idk. It also leaves a lot of room for passive aggressive tagging, but the original poster will never know since they may never bother checking reblogs without anything actually added to the post.

2) I can understand confusion, but talking about it on their blog like it's a secret they don't want anyone to hear is stupid and rude. They know that person they're talking about is going to see that on their dash, or it's almost like when people whisper something really loud because they want that person to hear what they're saying.

Though, I've also seen people directly ask on their blog why these people are following them and it's just awkward because it's like putting the spotlight on someone who was unaware that they would have an interrogation just to follow someone's blog.
