If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.

Re: tumblr culture
that second one does sound pretty rude to me. I can understand being confused about someone following you if you supposedly have nothing in common but the fact is that you can't choose who follows you on tumblr. It's sort of the price you pay for posting on a site with very few ways of keeping your blog private. This kind of reminds me of a person I follow who had a main blog they posted to all the time. They then decided that the blog was getting too personal so they made another one to post more personal stuff on. I followed them there because they just stopped posting completely on their original blog; yet they would constantly complain about people following them on the second blog so they posted a whole bunch of untagged porn to get people to unfollow them. At which point, I did. I mean I don't have a problem with them wanting to keep their blog private, but now they don't post at all on their original blog, and I found everything they posted really interesting. So I feel kind of annoyed about that even though I'm not really entitled to following them or anything. I don't think this makes sense... wow tl;dr sorry!!
The last one, I'm not really sure. Tumblr just has a hive mind and all of a sudden it's a bad thing to post your own comments on a post. =\
Re: tumblr culture
Yeah, those are the comments I'm referring too. Especially since reblogging them like that means they'll get even more notes, which is what they didn't want. :\ I also saw a post making rounds about being afraid to post anything witty because they're afraid it'll get over 1k notes. I just don't get why that's a bad thing.
2) People keep forgetting that tumblr's a blog and not facebook, or something like that. It makes me nervous to follow anyone because I don't want to be that person that they make a post about wondering why I'm following them as if I was some creeper. Actually, I'm kinda following someone like that, and they'll mention that they check through their friendslist to remind themselves who's following them, and I get so nervous like I'm going to fail an inspection or something. It's not as bad as who you were following, but if it did I'd unfollow them too. Which, like you said, is disappointing because I usually follow these people because they post interesting things. :[ also tl;dr
