Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally misclicked and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (about 100 or so) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here.

The submissions post for next week is below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: ?? pages, ??? secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.

Ummmmm wow, so

Teaching something you believe at home is NOT preventing anyone from getting an actual education.

Not everyone is going to work in a scientific field and I guarantee you there are *plenty* of people who believe in evolution who are qualified for those jobs.

I find the constant equating of teaching literal creationism to teaching actual bigotry a little bit disturbing, too.

I'm all about being progressive but you have to draw a line somewhere because freedom is important in its own right too. You sound like you want to take away a LOT of personal freedom in favor of enforcing your ideals, and to me that's just trading one "evil" for another.

I'm all about keeping public education free of both religion and of harmful teachings (like bigotry) and people are able to make their own choices once they see different perspectives. I also think you're being rather alarmist. I have a lot of hope for my generation and for the next, given that we're getting more informed, more tolerant, and more progressive with each generation and really each passing year.
