(Anonymous) 2012-09-05 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)If you start with "I think you might be a troll but..." and then state a serious opinion I think that's okay, because at least you're still keeping the conversation going.
Fandom often makes the mistake of calling troll too often because we're used to fandom being different from the outside world and we forget even those in fandom can hold controversial and/or ignorant opinions.
