(Anonymous) 2012-09-07 12:55 am (UTC)(link)(But then, engineering degrees exist to get those jobs and those jobs exist just for engineering degrees. There aren't many disciplines of engineering that don't have specific jobs associated with them.)

I think the fact that civil engineering as a major is so broad but then everyone specializes once they get out. I'm doing structural, I have friends in transportation, and more friends in environmental.
I absolutely love my job too!
