He doesn't know any more about what happens after death than you do. Anything he says is just conjecture and guesswork. If you like the idea of heaven, believe in heaven. Seriously, unless he has come back from of the dead, his opinion (and that's what it is) doesn't mean anything.

I agree. Not sure what else to say about this secret other than I'm sorry this person freaked you out, but you shouldn't take his words as gospel. Depending on what you believe you might find gospel ridiculous anyway, so just go along with whatever is comfortable for you.
