so many zombie movies. when done well, zombie movies are excellent apocalyptic fiction; i don't know how people keep fucking it up when george romero keeps showing them how to do it right.

I'd make this even more general and say a lot of horror movies have good concepts but lose their story in favor of gore and getting the movie out quickly and cheaply.

I rarely watch horror films even though I actually love the genre, and it's because most of them lose the fact that there is supposed to be a strong story underneath all the killing and monsters.
