Inception.

While I crazy enjoy this movie when I first saw the trailer I thought the Mal and Dom characters were going to be rivals in the dreamworld business...and instead she was dead.

I just wanted the two of them battling each other across the globe for people's secrets.

I loved Inception, but I'm with you. I thought it would be a completely different movie than the one I ended up watching. I had two expectations. A horror/action story that makes full use of the dream part or action/sci-fi movie a la P.K. Dick that takes place in people's dreams.

Oh, that would have been a wonderful plot. I like what we got, but Mal was so amazing, getting to see her outside of Dom's memories would have been great.

Aw man. I got whisked away to see this in theaters without knowing what it was about, but now I wish I could have seen the trailers just to be disappointed and have that as my preferable headcanon.

Oh, man, yes. It was so friggin' *tedious*. Yes, zero-G fight was cool, there were some moments, but my SO and i watched and were just kept going 'holy crap, hit the water already, just be *over*....'

So much potential.
