Just because you like something someone else does doesn't exclude you from bonding over something else. I'm a huge "Doctor Who" RPFer and many of my friends don't don the same shipper goggles as me, but we still flail over other fandoms and commiserate when it comes to RL things. Your ships don't define you in your entirety, so I hope you don't let them hold you back.

yeah but a lot of people are morally opposed to rpf, which is a lot different than just not liking it.

I'm one of those who is morally opposed to it, but I'm not going to pick fights with people over it. I have friends who like it and we get along.
