I had a lot of acne when I was a teenager and it left marks on my face. I don't have any interest in being desirable to people but I don't like seeing them whenever I pass a reflective surface so I cover them up. I like wearing eyeliner and mascara because it makes my eyes look pretty to me and being pretty is nice.

It boils down to that I like passing mirrors and liking what I see. I'm don't think I'm ugly but if I can make that reflection prettier by spending 15 minutes in the morning why not?

IDK it sounds simple enough to me.

This. I see a cute shirt in a store and go "oh that's a cute shirt, I want to wear it!" Wondering who would think it's desirable on me never enters my head. I want to look cute! I like cute things. It's not targeted at anybody in particular.

Same. My wardrobe is very... eclectic, because at different times I'll see something and go, "OMG SO CUTE/SHINY/SPARKLY! I need this in my life and I need to wear it!"

Thinking about who will see me in it never really goes past, "My co-workers will get a kick out of these earrings/socks/whatever." and since with the exception of... six guys (four of whom are with someone), the other sixty are older married women (one of whom is my mother), so it has nothing to do with being attractive to someone else.
