I've not read the books or seen the movie but I've seen a map of the thing. Doesn't it also include Canada which is 80% white and Mexico Which wikipedia has no info on? Of course it all depends on when whatever fucked up the continent happened in that world.

Although it all really reminds me of every single Sci-fi thing about a space colony where every person in a colony is very obviously one race or another despite being multiple generations down from a base group of people.

Man, this. That was something i liked a *lot* about 'The Fifth Element', when so many of the 'extras' and random people all around were obviously mixed race. Makes for a much more interesting and realistic cast when everyone in a huge city is *not* white.

Depends on which parts of Canada survived. If Toronto (the most multicultural city in the world) survived, then it would be a total mixed bag. If it's like... Alberta... it would be super white.
