Well, I wear make up when I'm working or going out because society expects me to. I don't want to miss a promotion or be bullied by strangers because I didn't put make up on. Unfortunately it also means Doctors won't take me seriously because I put make up on and I'm faking a smile.

I can at least say I have never done it to gain a man's attention. I've no interest in men so it wouldn't occur to me to do it to please the Man. Just to please Everyone

What? idg why doctors won't care??

Maybe they mean that doctors won't believe they feel bad b/c they're all done up and (fake) smiling so they don't look as sick as they feel?
