Actually, some states are measurably better. 6 states and 2 tribes and DC recognize gay marriage.

Whereas some states are measurably worse, even going so far as to say it's legally OK for kids to bully gays.

Where? I'm looking into moving and I don't want to ove there.

I also wanted to add that here in California (which is stereotyped as being filled with liberals) Prop 8 passed, banning gay marriage. Where I live, people were really vocal in their support of it... it broke my heart.
