Re: Job commitment-- help?
And as Baz Luhrman says, "Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don't."
In fact, there's a ton of good advice there, so: Here you go. (Apparently DW is not playing nicely with embed codes. It's just Youtube.)
Re: Job commitment-- help?
I didn't phrase the age thing well; it's more like, you can only apply up until the age of 29 (military officership), or 35 (police, some other agencies).
I'm pretty well geared up for base skills for a lot of these-- I speak two other languages and am well versed in the cultural areas, have spent a year working overseas, etc. It's just that I'm wary of shutting myself off to other things that could surprise me as being just as rewarding as I think the other things will be.
Or I'm afraid the other things won't be as rewarding as I thought, and I ended up in a career choice that I cant get out of for a few years.
But thank you for your reply, and the Baz Luhrman quote. :D
