11 and 21 as well. I agree, to a certain point. People shouldn't be looked down on just because they're new to a certain fandom, but I do give a little more respect for people who have been in the fandom the whole way through as opposed to just becoming a fan because there's a lot of hype around the new movie and book. And in the 21 related, I've met people in the Dr. Who fandom who have been watching Dr. Who since they were born practically, and who use the fact that they know a lot about it to help newer fans (such as myself) understand and become interested in the series. And I've met people who consider themselves better than everyone else because they've seen every episode of Two. Well... I wasn't alive when Two was around. Not until... Eight? Maybe? That bugs me.
