While I agree on the terminology, calling OEL "manga" or "manga style" is an easier way to label the art movement that's happening with aspiring comic artists presently. It's like, for example, the differing definitions of "otaku" between the east and the west.

Anyway, I hardly think there's respect to be lost for people getting publishing deals.

2. It's why I don't like offline friends on my journal. It's just... creepy. I can't honestly fathom discussing my "OTPs" and writing smut about them offline. No idea why, but it just seem off. Like offline there should be more important things to talk about or something.

21. Seriously. I was two when Doctor Who was cancelled -- kind of a middle school fan, but yeah I mean I'm somewhat at a disadvantage there. Although to be fair I haven't seen a great deal of "if you didn't watch Classic Who when it was first aired you're not a real fan," at least not lately.
