I like to think most Loki fans are like OP, especially since all the crazy Loki fans are people I hear others complain about, and not something I've encountered personally.

I mean, I know the extreme apologists exist but I doubt they make up the majority of Loki fans. And it's sad that they're loud and persistent enough within fandom to make more level-headed fans feel they have to explain themselves all the time.

I envy you for managing to avoid the crazy Loki fans (maybe I should stop looking at avengerkink and AO3), but yeah, I'm sure they're a vocal minority. I hope so, anyway.

Yeah, I'm pretty cautious around the AO3--I don't browse the Thor/Avengers categories on my own. I rely on rec lists for fic which weeds out most of the worst type of woobie/apologist Loki fic.

I lurk at avengerkink, but I tend to ignore uh...pretty much everything that doesn't involve Thor, lol. I know there's been a lot of wank in general discussion and on some of the prompts but that's not too hard to avoid. That said, outright avoiding discussion isn't much of a solution, I admit.

Also, metavengers is pretty good for Avengers discussion without wank, at least so far. (It's new-ish, I think.)
