I just wish that people stopped talking the attitude of tumblr/twitter users as representative of the whole fandom.

IDK, I've heard bad stories of both fandoms (Sherlock fans going on racist and/or misogynist diatribes about Lucy Liu's casting; Elementary fans that attack anyone who says anything remotely negative about the pilot as racist misogynists), but the LJ portion seems to be sane and fair, so I just stick with the LJ fandoms.

That said, the spite-stanning and the "it's okay to tweet death threats to someone if they don't agree Moffat is a misogynist" attitude on ONTD is really turning me off one of these fandoms. :|
