I've only received genuine concrit a few times. I appreciated it, but I was also fortunate enough to receive concrit from people who were good at giving it. I've seen other fics get 'constructive criticism' that makes me roll my eyes because it's just...really poorly done and often delivered in the most wank-tastic way possible. There is a difference between being unsparing in your criticism, and outright insulting a person or their writing, and most unsolicited "concrit" is unfortunately the latter.

Not all concrit is worthwhile. Criticism is a skill that requires a lot of time and effort to develop. If people can complain about badfic than people can complain about badcrit.
