Uhhh.

It's funny cause not much earlier he was going to shoot an unarmed man for standing up to him, and he killed eighty people at least before that point, and he killed a shitton of unarmed people later.

And he got two Asgardian guards killed at the beginning of Thor, back when he was just trying to fuck with Thor's coronation! Before he went through all his adoption angst and everything! JUST BECAUSE HE WAS A DICK! He cared ~so much about Asgard not having a reckless, reactionary king that he got two of his own people killed by Frost Giants (and also let in Frost Giants).
