Isn't anime a transliteration of an english word?

Like you're bitching about people not pronouncing a word correct to its native origin when the only reason it's a distinct word is because people failed to correctly pronounce a foreign word.

This really is completely laughable because the Japanese don't give two shits about adapting English words to sound more Japanese- to the point of sometimes making loanwords unrecognizable in origin, as you pointed out.
