I...kind of understand the frustration, but at the same time...there are some people who are *really* bad at pronouncing things that aren't in their native language. Like...scary bad. For example, my dad? Couldn't say a word in spanish understandably until he was in his 40's - and that wasn't for lack of trying. However, he did have the sense to not try to say anything in another language in public because he knew he would completely butcher it. [To put this in context, we live on a border with a spanish speaking country, and well over half the population speaks spanish.]

So, there are people really are Just That Bad when it comes to that stuff.

Seriously. Hell, some people can't even get certain words right in their own language, because they spent too long getting used to saying it the wrong way. I'm going to spend the rest of my life trying to get my mom to say "subtle" correctly. And fail.
