Least favorite:
-The Scarlet Letter (it was just a pain to read and I didn't like any of the characters. It didn't help that my teacher assigned us multiple papers over break for questions she stole from Sparknotes that had about a paragraph answer each)

-The Pearl (after the analyzing my class did, I actually hated Steinbeck for years until I read Of Mice and Men)

-The Great Gatsby (the prose didn't click with me for some reason; it was a bit disappointing because I was excited to read it)

-Huckleberry Finn (I couldn't even finish this because of the way Twain wrote their dialogue. I suppose I'll try it again later, eventually)

-Jane Eyre (I actually read it before it was assigned, though)

-Fahrenheit 451 (we were forced in sixth grade to read it and no one really understood what was happening, but I read it again in eleventh and loved it)

In my school, we would do the analyzing in class discussions or in papers, but the tests would ask about the most minor details to make sure we actually read the book (no, I don't remember the specific smell of Ponyboy's deodorant, yes I read the chapters).

After I had to return the book back to the teacher, I got my mom to take me up to Hastings and I bought a copy. It's still on my shelf :')

The premise of the entire show is fucking bizarre so I sorta feel like a hypocrite saying this, but I felt seeing Jane in heaven watching Deb was too much
I feel the same about feeling like a hypocrite, but I saw it as this: the show's premise started out as two women with separate lives who happen to die at the same time, and then one of them somehow finds her way back but in the body of the other woman; but now it's the whole old Jane wants to go back to earth and didn't do anything about it until new Jane is getting married, somehow finds Freds, and just so happens to go into Owen's body, where he just so happens to die from a literal broken heart. The way the show started is a bit of a stretch, but you just go along with the premise of the show. The way this season ended was just too many contrivances piling up on top of another.

I hate it when shows keep on finding new roadblocks to keep characters from getting together, especially if they don't do it convincingly, and this seems like DDD really wants to keep the "will they or won't they" plot until the end, and considering they probably want to keep this show going on for as long as possible we might have to put up with this mess for a long while. =(
