Where'd I say that? I'll make it explicit that I wasn't saying that, if you like. I WASN'T SAYING THAT. Good? Good.

I'm pretty sure if you read the part of the comment after the word "this," you'll see that I'm talking about the possibility (the lived reality, in my case) that too-close critique and examination of one's preferences has uncomfortable consequences.

But if you want to tell yourself I think my opponents (and I wouldn't even call them opponents, really -- it's not so much that I think critiquing media is bad as I think there are good and bad ways to do it, and pushing away something you already like is one of the bad ones) want to kill people, go right ahead.

It's easier than thinking, after all.
