My feelings in a nutshell:

1. I didn't like how they handled Holmes's sexuality.
2. There were several missed opportunities (especially with Watson's character).
3. The deductions weren't particularly impressive.
4. With the exception of the bee scene, it lacked the Sherlock Holmes feel.
5. The fact that Watson is hired to be around Holmes rather than them having an immediate mutual interest in each other takes away from what makes their friendship special.
