Eh, depends. I didn't qualify for aid (since I wasn't old enough to have aid based off my own income rather than my parents' income), so I'd go to school for a term, then take a term off and work full-time long enough to pay for the next one. I ended up taking two years longer than everyone else, but there really wasn't any other way for me to do it. Loans are helpful for tuition, but they don't pay for rent/food/bills for an entire term.
