I watched the pilot and the second episode and wow, yeah. On top of the rather flat writing and contrived plot twists, the characters are pretty two-dimensional so far, especially the main cast. Then again, I shouldn't expect too much from the gentleman who gave us Glee (another show I couldn't stand). So much for breaking through LGBT stereotypes.

My mom loves it though, so I'll probably hear about it even if I stop watching it :|

Why did you watch it if you hated Glee and knew it was by the same person? jw

Because my mom asked me to watch it with her and I said "lol sure", although I informed her before it aired that I had extremely lowered expectations and how much I can't stand Glee. Granted, she also loves American Horror Story (which I haven't seen), so idek if she knows how bad Ryan Murphy usually is with LGBT characters.
