Eh, that sucks. Sorry.

Stalking his campus is like creepy catch-22. On one hand, if you don't, you'll may never get the chance to see how your date would've gone. One the other, the stalking reinforces his (likely) thought that it ain't worth it because your family is kind of crazy.

Seems best to either forget it, or hope you run into him at the coffee shop by yourself.

I knoooooooow. But I almost never have a reason to go to that coffee shop and now I have a reason to actively avoid it.

*sigh* I don't think I'll actually stalk the poor guy I'm just really freakin' bummed.

I don't think you have any reason not to go to the coffee shop.

though I'd make it seriously clear to your mom and her friend that you don't want her speaking up on your behalf. Ever. As much as you can do so without starting a fight you can't afford to have.

Course, I'm the spiteful type that would literally have brought a girl home to kiss just so I could tell her I would never, ever have to thank her for being a nosy ass.

But yeah. If you find him again, I'd approach him. But if you go looking for him... it could end badly.
