Grey's Anatomy has a lesbian couple with two femmes. Both being butch would probably be more groundbreaking, but at least there isn't the arbitrary masculine/feminine dynamic.

No, they wouldn't. For the longest, that was the cliche. The whole femme lesbian trope is barely over a decade old.

Um, show me some films/shows with butch/femme couples. No really. Really rare. Not because people didn't think they existed, but because BUTCH SCARY OMIGOD. Femme lesbians? Go look at some 50s pulp novels.

FUCK sometimes I think butch dykes are one of the last taboos for the mainstream.
