This. Even though this show is likely terrible, or simply not my type of humour, it bugs me that instead of asking for more variety of characters in general, some people would rather that "incorrect" portrayal be gone entirely. Why not have all the variety, even the stereotypes, just to normalise it already until being a flaming queen or butch dyke (or even "safely" femme really) raises none of the eyebrows.

Oh, but then it'd be the "jock" stereotype or the "bear" or the "S&M biker" and on and on and on. Yes, there are people who don't fit into the stereotypes, but a lot of these are borne out of gay culture and the roles people have chosen to adopt. Why is it always that taking up a role is a bad thing? If you want to dress and act like a 50's housewife or a butch woman, have at it. Fuck the people ho say otherwise.
