Your comment sums up why I said it can only be a crack ship for me. The thing about Clint is part of it. Even if Natasha just wanted to indulge her primal desires and had a thing for Loki on a purely physical basis I just can't get past that she obviously has a history of sorts with Clint...and Loki basically turned Clint's mind inside out. Then he threatened to use Clint to torture and kill her. So yeah, while I can find it hot on a superficial level (I suppose) I just...can't ship it seriously.

Thor seems pretty willing to forgive Loki and I suppose you could achieve this ship in a way where Natasha talks to Thor a lot and sees Loki from a different angle...but nah, don't think it'll work. I feel the other Avengers will give Thor a bit of leeway for being Loki's brother and so emotionally attached, but ultimately not get why Thor keeps trying with him. The way things stand anyway. Obviously future films might change that.

Yeah, I can't see any reason for the Avengers other than Thor to forgive Loki. It's not even a "you've done too many horrible things" deal, it's just that they have no connection to Loki whatsoever. They know him solely as "crazy megalomanical villain who brainwashed Clint, killed Coulson, and made Thor cry".

Slight tangent, but I actually always wondered if Tony would empathize with Thor the most over the Loki thing, because he knows what it's like for someone who was like family to you all your life betray you and try to kill you?
