Honestly, I'm more bothered at... his face... like, effeminate men are fine, but I can't care about gay characters if they're ugly. I know it sounds horrible, but for some reason it seems whoever casts gay characters for TV shows doesn't mind casting uglier people for gay relationships, meanwhile straight couples are always all sparkly and pretty. WE'RE THE SPARKLY ONES DAMNIT >_>

Your mileage may vary, but I don't think either of them are ugly. Not breathtakingly stunning either - but you know what, most people I know in real life aren't either. And I've seen plenty of ugly straight couples on TV - granted, that might be because they're the majority and there are bound to be less pretty ones, but tastes do differ (fortunately).
