Man, this is the only thing I walked out of that movie shipping, in the most fucked-up way possible. The "Okay yes more of That Scene please, only with no glass in between them and fewer clothes and could we twist the power dynamics around even more, pretty please?" way. I thought the internet would explode with this fucking pairing.

I think I misunderestimated the extent to which the internet wanted to see Loki get all the hugs and redemption and ponies (erm...) he never got as a kid, whereas I mostly just have a desperate desire to see Loki get the good hard whumping he so clearly craves two millimeters beneath the surface. Thor might be the only person who could deliver that to proper effect, but Thor, bless him, is something of a blunt instrument, while Natasha... Natasha fucking understands overweening little shits who try to take their raging insecurity out on others. It's her specialty, and really I want nothing more than to see her making mincemeat out of Loki and getting torn to shreds herself in the process. Clint or Bucky or whoever can help her put herself back together again afterwards, but mostly I just want Natasha/Loki that is actually more like Natasha vs. Loki.

This pairing actually started getting a bit of a following when the trailer first came out, just because of a scene that looked like they were exchanging a glance. When the movie came out it became obvious that scene was a result of clever cutting for the trailer, though.

But they still had an awesome fucked up dynamic
