Wait I don't get what you're saying... Are you saying people assume they're all Korean because stereotypically to people ~all Asians look-a-like~ and their brains just lump them all as Korean? But when you said K-pop doesn't that indeed imply that they are Korean :/ idgi and not trying to be offensive. I genuinely am confused.

Not OP and I'm not sure what they're talking about but I do know K-pop groups that have ethnically Chinese & Japanese members. It's not even uncommon. There are also k-pop groups with members who were born or grew up in other countries (off the top of my head America and Australia).

Yeah, but being American or Australian doesn't in any way make it highly unusual to be of Korean descent. They're both immigrant countries.

I wasn't trying to imply it did. I think maybe I have no idea what is going on and I was mostly replying to doesn't that indeed imply that they are Korean? I just meant to say that k-pop groups don't exclusively or even mostly pull talent from Korea.

OP here

I meant more if people just saw a picture of them, on like a poster or something that the fact that it was a Korean band wasn't obvious.

I get you OP, but I believe guys with a face like Dongwoon is not common in Korea, so not knowing that he's Korean is kinda understandable. The others in your picture are obviously Korean, but maybe that's just because I'm more used to seeing them.
And if it's not their faces, their style kinda gives it away, imo.
