Not 100% relevant to your secret, but on the Shonda Rimes/ASP thing, I've got to go with Shonda: Bunheads and Grey's Anatomy are about equally mediocre, but Shonda's come up with three shows that feature female characters at the forefront, who have careers and lives and conversations about things other than men. And some of them are white, and some of them aren't (and some of them are even not straight!), and all of them have their strengths, as well as their weakness. So. Fast-talking and pop-culture references aside, yeah, I see more of myself in Shonda Rimes world than I do in ASP's.

Fair enough, but I find Shonda's work really off-putting because the women always seem to be all about sex! men! babies! and I see nothing relatable about that. She deserves props for her racially diverse casting, for sure, but that's not as important to me as not being grossed out by Derek calling Meredith a whore and being expected to find it a ~cute display of jealousy. So her getting all uppity about not being ~represented like it was some sort of personal affront just made me roll my eyes.
