(Anonymous) 2012-09-18 02:46 am (UTC)(link)However, I just can't picture "rough" Elven sex.
Call me immature, but imagining these "perfect beings" who always seem to have a halo around them and a stick up their asses to be fucking all fiery just makes me laugh.

I've been writing fiery, rough, passionate Elf sex couples, threesomes and more (slash only) since 2007. (I read the books decades ago and it struck me that Tolkien's Silmarillion Elves were obviously based on 'true Elves', who are ambiguous and dangerous, not 'perfect' - which is true, Tolkien drew on the Elves of mythology. In the Silmarillion they murdered, betrayed, had incestuous feelings, they hated and warred, killed their own kin. There's nothing angelic about that.
The authors I read also write them like that; there's a clique who write 'angelic' Elves, but they seem to not know the first thing about the Silmarillion, or ignore it.
To me, Elves emotions are focused like the sun through a lens, therefore they're violently passionate than Mortals. My head-canon is a lot older than the films where they did seem to be rather sexless. I am glad Thranduil looks rather feral, as I imagine the Elves of Mirkwood to be. But then, all the Elves I write are feral when they have sex d;^).
