But I'll try?
"He screamed.
She screamed.
But there was no ice cream.
Samantha drew back and held up her bat while the unicorn man struggled backwards and fell off the couch. He quickly stood up but seemed woozy. His... limbs swaying back and forth.
Samantha couldn't take it. She was supposed to be afraid of this guy? She really couldn't help it. She started to laugh.
The unicorn man frowned at her, looked down at himself, and then scooted behind the couch.
"What were you just doing?" came the same deep, rich, husky voice from before. That clinched it. With no other evidence Samantha concluded that this man was, in fact, the unicorn because they had the same voice. There was no other explanation.
She stared at him in wonder. Drool may or may not have dribbled down her chin. (What? He was still naked.)
"What," he repeated himself, "were you just doing?" His voice made her shiver. But he sounded peeved. Well he shouldn't be peeved. He was the one who passed out on her lawn and she took him in out of the kindness of her own heart and loins. Mostly the loins. But no one needed to know that.
Samantha drew breath. "I thought you may be dead."
His frown only grew. "So you're a necrophiliac?" But he paused and looked at her. "No... you can't be..."
"I am not a necromancer!" Samantha shot back, "I don't even bury the dead, let alone raise them." She was very satisfied with her witty answer. She was so smart. The best in her class. Just another reason for her classmates to hate her. Samantha looked away from the unicorn man. She couldn't think of her tormentors now. No, she needed to concentrate on him.
"I... I was trying to check if you were still breathing," Samantha admitted.
"With your face?" The unicorn man pawed his foot against the carpeting twice.
"I don't know! I'm not a doctor." Samantha dropped the bat and covered her face with her hands. She felt so stupid. How could she have known something so complicated as how to check a unicorn's breathing?
She started to cry but in the really pretty way. She didn't hiccup or snort. Instead, the water flowed from her eyes, down her cheeks and turned into diamonds as they hit the carpet.
Samantha blushed pink, oh no, now he would know of her inexperience.
For as everyone knows, only virgins' tears turn to diamonds.
"Please, please just go." Samantha turned away.
"Beautiful maiden, please do not cry," came that wonderful voice of manliness again that filled her with joy and all the wrong places. Large, thick arms embraced her from behind, cocooning her in the warmth of another. She felt so safe and so content, even knowing the man who hugged her was sharing with her the only thing he could, the warmth of his own body flush against hers.
No, she shouldn't feel this way. Should she? Samantha pulled away.
"I don't even know your name," she said.
Two large hands came to rest on her hips and his breath flowed past her ear and neck as he said, "My name is Hyyyuuuuphhhummffff" His name was beautiful. Like the sound of a horse neighing. "But you can call me Tim," He added."
