Yeah, that kind of bothers me too. I mean, it's not like I really care about seeing a double upload of Teahouse of all things, but it annoys me that they keep promising and end up disappointing people. Your readers wouldn't get as ticked off at you if you didn't promise to do it in the first place! Just stick to saying that there will be a weekly upload, jeez.

3 things that I think about this secret:

1) I'm completely okay with this.

2) I'm completely okay with this because Thomas Gibson was basically born to play Batman and it's a massive tragedy that he never has.

3) Criminal Minds is already, to me, essentially a comic book superhero show. It's about a team of people with unrealistic, superhuman abilities who travel around America to fight insane people who are beyond the normal run of human beings. The distance between Criminal Minds and a comic book is basically just 7 sets of tights. So there's a certain amount of sense-making in seeing Reid as a comic book villain especially since he's always been the one who's most likely to empathize with the villains.

Those are the things that I think about this secret.

I do this too- though mostly it's because, if I've never heard a song efore, it's easier to find an AMV with a high-quality recording, then to just look for the song.

At least, that's been my experience. :)

I like Peggy Sues too, but I do have a hard time finding ones that aren't complete crap. I have better luck with Groundhog Day fics (time loop) and What If? Fics, which are both similar in ways to Peggy Sues, but seem to entice more creativity from authors.

those people aren't your friends if you have nothing but fandom in common. it's okay not to share your friends' interests. you're not doing yourself or them a favor by sitting through shows you hate then feigning enthusiasm at them. find other people?
