I've been guilty of this and I hereby apologise.

You see though, to me it's a way of trying to motivate myself/force myself to actually reach that goal. But sometimes it just doesn't work out.

Yeah, but there is a difference between 'sometimes' and 'every time' - and the creators of Teahouse do it almost every time.

Legit, non trolling theory time here.

They are burnt out. Remember thier butthurt reaction to mockery? How they really went off on people who made fun of this thing (and lets face it, even if you think this is the greatest comic ever drawn, nothing, NOTHING is immune to mockery)? I think this was a passion project... and the passion has soured. They burnt out, but have too much riding on this to just stop now. So they do it. But they are fucking slogging through it.

Erfworld had some issues due to real life problems with it's creators, it could be something like that too. They managed to get over it and now have a reasonably regular schedule. For those who care (I only care about shops of this thing), lets hope they can do the same.

AYRT

Honestly? I don't care strongly either way, I was just pointing out that 'sometimes' and 'almost every time' aren't anywhere near the same thing.

That said, if their burnt out on it? Then...well. I'm sorry to hear it, but maybe it wouldn't hurt for them to take a break from it. Not stop, if they do have too much riding on it, but take enough of a break to get a breather and maybe see if they get their passion back, or look for other options as to a way out without having to worry about 'Oh fuck, I need to get another page done.' If neither is possible...then I honestly feel for the creators and hope that it changes one way or the other soon.

I'd be burnt the hell out by now, too. I'm frankly astonished when they promise extra pages when the ones they already put out once a week would make me sling myself up from the rafters (say what you want about the story and designs, but the art detail is effing ridiculous). They really need to ease up.

There is a reason with comics like Order of the Stick and Erfworld that I ignore them for months and then do archive binges.

Yeah, I can be the same way. :(
