Someone else read the Kobie books! They're some of my favorite YA books- Kobie was far more relatable for me (also an awkward and faily girl with strict, penny-pinching parents) than most YA protagonists, and I liked her sense of humor. I'll take her over the Beautiful All Along Special Snowflake protagonists of most of the current YA novels. Don't get me wrong, wish fulfillment stories can be fun, but it seems like that's all it is these days.

That's the same reason I loved Kobie! She was rad as hell.

(I named a character in my own YA project after her.)
