I've been percolating a fanfic idea for 5 years. Though I've written and posted about 200 works in various other fandoms, I've been holding off on this one because a) no one's ever done it before and b) it goes pretty strongly against fanon. (Not canon, though.) ~ I've held back partly because I'm afraid people in the fandom will flame me, but mostly because I'm afraid I can't do my idea justice either.

But you know, OP - neither of us is going to know what we can do until we slap that clay down on the potting wheel and start a-spinning.
