How about you do it for NaNoWriMo? That whole thing is about shutting up about writing and just doing the writing, plus you'll have backup and a goal and the good sort of pressure.

I've written things because I wanted to see them. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't but you won't ruin the idea by trying. If you fail you can look back, see where you derailed, and try again. You don't have to share every (or any) attempt.
