Not a huge Stiles lover, definitely not into Sterek, not a Scott hater, but I objectively believe Scott is a horrible friend. I mean, it's not his fault, he's got a lot of really important stuff going on right now that he can't ignore, but he asks a whole lot of Stiles and never seems to offer as much back in return. And that's when he's ditching him for werewolf stuff. It's even worse when he's ditching Stiles just to hang out with Allison.

Their relationship is asymmetrical. Scott takes way more than he gives. Luckily for him, Stiles is cool with it.

Love Stiles, but I agree with this. He works well in the role he has, that's part of why we love him!

Stiles is my favorite, and I agree. Part of why I love him is because he's the snarky sidekick. If he was the lead, he wouldn't be the one having amusing reactions to everything.

I wouldn't even say that he 'asks' Stiles for things so much as he remains oblivious to the universe and Stiles steps up so they don't all die horribly. Obviously Scott is way self-involved and should probably spend less time FORGETTING ABOUT THE PLOT in favor of staring at Allison, but for the majority of the series, that doesn't seem to bother Stiles at all. Isn't 'bad friend' sort of in the eye of the person who's supposedly being mistreated?

Scott is just really really self-absorbed. I wish every now and then he'd take time out from making out with Allison to SAVE HIS DYING FRIENDS wtf

I've loved Scott and Stiles's friendship for the past two seasons, but I've got to say, I agree with you on this to a point. The S2 finale really clinched it for me: Gerard beat the shit out of Stiles and directly said it was to catch Scott's attention, and then not only does the show never display Scott reacting to the fact that his best friend's gotten the shit beat out of him, but it's never mentioned again and by the end of the season they're bros. I'd think Stiles would harbor at least a little bit of resentment that he got hurt because he's best friends with Scott--and he'll probably continue to be hurt in later seasons--and Scott didn't even seem to care.

Jeff Davis says that he's going to address the strain on Scott and Stiles' relationship in season three, and it will tie into Scott and Isaac's developing friendship as well, so I'm glad that's not being ignored!

to be fair, stiles deliberately didn't answer scott's phone call because he didn't want scott to know and that's exactly what gerard wanted. he didn't even see stiles til the warehouse confrontation and i think everybody was focused on different things at the time.

I still don't know if anyone but Erica, Boyd, and Stiles himself know about that scene. Actually, I also don't know if anyone's even legit worried about Erica and Boyd still being officially missing.

That entire last episode was a wonderful collection of plot holes.

Yeah, the finale was just an absolute mess that took the momentum out of the season. I'd like to think Stiles does tell the truth about what happened, I mean, if Scott asks he'd be able to tell if Stiles was lying anyway, and Gerard is gone so there'd be no reason to lie anyways. And Boyd and Erica did say they were gonna go find the other pack, I'd hope Stiles would have mentioned they were in the Argent's basement. Though, if they ever went looking it'd look exactly like what happened, they got away and ran off into the woods, Derek (presumably, I doubt he wouldn't at least try to find them if he thought they were in trouble) might just assume they went off to find another pack again.

I'm really trying to make sense of that mess, it's hard :c

i havent watched the show so i'm probably missing something, but how is it scott's fault that some asshole doesn't like him and beat up his friend?

I watched S1 and a bit of S2 before I gave up on the show, but yeah totally agree with this although admittedly I feel a bit more bitter about it. It was actually one of my biggest problems with the show, I can't stand that dynamic.
